Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinrich Fehren

Born in Emsbüren on 1 August 1959, completed electrical engineering studies at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in 1983. Subsequently took second degree in automation/control technology in Bremen, graduating as a Diplom-Ingenieur in 1987. From 1988 to 1994, research assistant at the Institute of Measuring and Automation Technology at the Comprehensive University of Kassel, where he gained his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in 1993. Thereafter, research assistant at the DLR Braunschweig/Göttingen's Institute of Structural Dynamics. From September 1996 onwards, salaried employee at ERAS GmbH, Göttingen.

The ATC system for suppressing torsional vibration in convertibles, to which he made a significant development contribution, was awarded the District of Göttingen's innovation prize in 2007. Since December 2007, Professor of Adaptronics at the PFH Private University of Applied Sciences. In 2008, he was accepted as a member of the VDI Guidelines Committee on "Active Vibration Reduction".
